History
Since our founding in 1992, we have been a specialized, flexible small business offering grinding, honing, lapping, and polishing of turned and milled parts made from various materials.
We look back on an exciting history and are ready to offer our customers high-precision grinding services with the next generation.
Business takeover
As of 1 January 2023, Wüthrich AG transferred the business to Sebastian Wüthrich, the son and successor. This takeover was accompanied by significant investments in new Swiss cylindrical grinding machines.
30th anniversary
In February 2022, Wüthrich AG celebrated its 30th company anniversary. Together with the employees, they looked back on a successful and exciting period. The anniversary was celebrated with a company outing in the Seeland region.
Succession planning
In May 2020, succession was secured with Sebastian Wüthrich joining the company as the next generation. During this time, he began to acquire know-how in grinding and to build up customer relationships.
Further expansion of production capacity
Production capacity was expanded by increasing capabilities in internal cylindrical grinding with machines from CombiTec.

Production capacity was expanded in the area of internal cylindrical grinding with new machines from VOUMARD.
New workshop building
Due to renewed space constraints, a new building was constructed, doubling the operational area in Pieterlen. The team grew to 8 employees.
Beginning of the CNC era
The first CNC internal cylindrical grinding machine from Voumard was purchased.
First machine for centreless grinding
The first centreless grinding machine, an Agathon 150, was acquired.
Partial relocation of production
Due to limited space, part of the grinding operations was relocated to rented premises at a neighbouring company.
Foundation
Precision Grinding Technology P. Wüthrich AG was founded in Pieterlen by Peter and Gisela Wüthrich-Stähli. At the beginning, the company employed three people and carried out subcontracted cylindrical grinding work.
