In spring 2023, Wuthrich Ltd. covered its entire roof area with solar panels. This measure helps meet a substantial part of the energy requirements, especially for compressed air, cooling and ventilation systems and machinery. Spanning 315 square metres, the solar panel system marks a key move toward sustainable operations.

The solar installation reflects the sustainable practices of Wuthrich Ltd.and its long-term vision, investing in renewable energy to promote greener production and more efficient resource use. The company is dedicated to continually improving its operations and seeking innovative approaches to support environmental protection while delivering high-precision grinding services to its customers.

Wuthrich Ltd. prioritises eco-friendly disposal of liquid and solid operating materials, with quarterly handling by the local firm Altona AG in Pieterlen. Operating materials such as used oil, filter mats and cleaning agents are disposed of properly and efficiently in suitable containers. Thanks to extensive modernisation of the cooling water treatment facilities, the company has cut its used oil consumption by roughly one-third since 2020 compared to previous years. This reflects our commitment to sustainability and environmental protection.
